Unit Contact RN Volunteers
We request RN volunteers to help improve communications with your Union and our nurses. We are looking for a couple of volunteers per unit (and per shift) to become a Unit Contact RN.
RESPONSIBILITY OF A UNIT CONTACT RN
o Provide feedback on issues, complaints, or concerns in your unit to the Union.
o Update your colleagues in your unit about Union negotiations, events, activities, and post Union updates on your unit bulletin board.
o Place extra Union leaflets or newsletters available in your break room.
o Distribute Union packets to newly employed RNs.
o Follow-up with new RN to recruit him/her to join our professional organization.
We will attempt to reach each RN Union member by phone or in person to see if he/she is willing to help to improve communication. Your input and participation are valuable tools toward the success of our professional Nurse Association, FNA/OPEIU Local 713.
